In my work, I have specialized in the conservation, restoration and research of painted surfaces in historic interiors.
I work on different projects, alone or with a team of conservation professionals, depending on the scale of the project and the required specialisms.
ABOUT ROOS
My passion for conservation started when I studied History of Art at the University of Utrecht. After I received my Master degree in Art History, I started my conservation training at the Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL) in Maastricht. I graduated at the SRAL with my final project focusing on painted 18th century stucco work (Fagel Cupola at Paleis Noordeinde in The Hague).
Today, my portfolio holds projects ranging from Kasteel Keukenhof in Lisse, the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam, Kasteel Oud Poelgeest in Oegstgeest and Burgerweeshuis in Zierikzee. I also worked in New York on the research and conservation of the wooden Damascus Room in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and on the wall paintings in the Stanton Street synagogue on the Lower East Side.
I teach the …. program at the University of Amsterdam.
